Jenny has been dancing since the age of 5. She studied many different styles of dance including ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, folk, modern, tap, clogging and ballroom. She danced competitively through her studio (Centre Stage) in Nampa, Idaho as well as her high school (Vallivue High School) while winning many top awards. Jenny was on the Contemporary Dance Theatre team in college at BYU-Idaho which toured philanthropically through all of Central America. Later she joined the BYU-Idaho Folk Dance Team and as Captain led her team through Ecuador and Peru for a month while performing daily to raise money for those in need. Currently she is a member of Explore Dance Company, the National Folk Dance Organization and a board member for the Idaho Dance Education Organization(IDEO). She continues to cultivate her dance education through attending new certification courses and dance conferences each year.
Opening a studio has been a desire of Jenny’s for many years. From her interaction with young dancers she found a missing link that needs to be addressed. Dance isn’t just about the movement of the body, but about the discipline, goal setting, emotion portrayal, friendship, humility, team work, and leadership skills that will create an overall remarkable individual. At Illusion Dance Studios we focus on a specific leadership principle with your child each month and explore how applying that skill enhances our dance practice and our success in life.
Caitlyn started her dance career at 4 years old and has been continuing her dance training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and contemporary. Through dance, Caitlyn had the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level with Idaho State University Bengal Dancers. She coached High School Dance Team and has taught classes for over 10 years to children of all ages. Caitlyn can’t wait to share the knowledge she has gained in dance technique and choreography, student leadership training, judging critique, competitive dance, community involvement and build a desire to continue dancing through out life with students at Illusion Dance. She has been certified in Acrobatic Arts Preschool Program and the Progressing Ballet Technique. Caitlyn is so excited to continue sharing her joy and passion of dance and can’t wait to learn and grow with your child as we create the next generation of pivotal leaders in our community.
I am classically trained in the Balanchine method. I can provide your child with proper ballet technique and understanding in ballet terminology. I am certified in progressing ballet technique. (PBT) i can offer your child the ability to gain strength, flexibility and injury prevention. Improvisation is a super important role in my classes so your child can gain confidence, think creatively and tell a story with movements and learn to listen and count their music.
Chantal fell in love with dance when she took her first jazz class at age 7. She was engaged in other extracurricular programs, like acting and singing but decided to put those to the side so she could give her full focus to dance. She was on the competitive team at her dance studio in Plano, TX and then got accepted into Ingredients Dance Company after graduating high school. After that, she moved to Los Angeles to be a part of Cantinas Dance Project, and got to see a whole new culture of dance. She has been trained in ballet, The Progressing Ballet Technique, jazz, Acrobatic Arts, contemporary, and hip hop. She wants to pour out what has been poured into her. She wants to encourage dancers to express themselves through dance. Dance has its own language and she wants them to experience dance in a meaningful way of expressing something they maybe can't put into words. She is so excited to share, teach, inspire, and grow along side your dancer.
Come take a look at our new studio, meet our instructors and see the vision we have for our dancers.
